Gochcar wants everyone to be able to ride and to drive. This page describes our commitments to riders with disabilities and to people with service animals.
Service animals
- Drivers may not refuse a rider because of a service animal. Allergies, religious objections and fear of animals are not exceptions.
- A driver may ask whether the animal is a service animal and what task it is trained to perform. Riders do not have to show certificates, tags or documents.
- Riders with service animals are not charged cleaning fees for hair or shedding; if you were, contact support for a refund.
Assistive devices and riders with disabilities
Drivers must not refuse a rider with a disability who can get into the vehicle, and must help stow folding wheelchairs, walkers, canes and similar devices. Gochcar cannot guarantee that a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available in every area.
Reporting and consequences
If you experience or witness discrimination, report it from the trip in your history (Report a problem) or contact support@gochcar.com. A driver who discriminates may lose access to the Platform, and we may place the account on hold while we review the report.
Website and app accessibility: if you find something hard to use with assistive technology, tell us and we will work on it.
